Project Manager

 

Location: Glasgow/Clyde – 3 days onsite

Start Date: February 2025

End date: 6 months - option to extend up to two years

Hours per week: 40 hrs

Rate: £58ph

Clearance: Applicants must currently hold SC security clearance

 

Searchability NS&D are currently recruiting a Project Manager for a UK leading National Security & Defence organisation.

 

Experience

  • Capable of leading and inspiring a diverse team to deliver value to the client.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Skilled in navigating and resolving conflicts.
  • Proficient in delivering project management and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensures alignment across the team on requirements, scope, schedule, costs, constraints, risks, and interfaces.
  • Leads the project team by fostering motivation, collaboration, coaching, guidance, and professional development.
  • Implements governance frameworks in line with corporate and business policies, directives, and procedures to ensure robust project outcomes.
  • Prioritises safety at every stage of project delivery.
  • Manages projects within agreed budgets.
  • Oversees risk and opportunity management from project initiation to completion.
  • Administers and negotiates change control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manages the procurement process for approved subcontractors.
  • Provides clear and accurate monitoring and reporting on project performance against program, technical quality, financial metrics, and KPI targets, both internally and externally.

 

Accountabilities

The Project Manager is accountable for overall performance of assigned work packages, including:

  • Delivery of assigned packages of work as per the NEC4 contract conditions.
  • Cost and schedule performance of assigned work packages.
  • Risk management.

 

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in the requirements of design in a Marine Environment
  • Engineering design and construction experience.
  • NEC4 ECC Experience (3 years)
  • NEC4 PSC Experience (3 years)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a project as a Project Manager in a highly regulated industry.
  • Full lifecycle experience from business case approval, design, execution, handover.
  • Experience of change control.
  • Experience of risk management.
  • HND in a related engineering/construction/project management discipline.
