Job Description

We're looking for a Lead Service Specialist to join our Digital Services Implementation team and connect our customers with our technologies and products. Our team is involved in GE Digital's ADMS (Advanced Distributions Management System) related projects, tackling problems ranging from analysing data to providing solutions for varied customer business requirements. Our product is deployed in distribution companies worldwide and is leading in the growing market of Energy Utilities. Our software solutions deliver reliability, productivity, innovation, and efficiency through a modular architecture, adaptive algorithms, predictive analytics, and a brilliant user experience.

You will provide expertise in sustained customer success and growth in the post-sales customer lifecycle through training, professional services, technical support, renewals, outcome attainment, retention, expansion, and customer advocacy with a Digital focus. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations and also lead minor teams based on the team structure.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and contribute to the implementation of ADMS solutions utilizing the Software Suite. Own technical deliverables during the entire lifecycle of the projects. Engage throughout the full lifecycle of assigned projects, participating in decisions on architecture, design, and functionality to keep programs on track in terms of budget, time, and customer expectations. Work closely with the client to understand their needs and develop strategies tailored to their organization through site assessments. Also make standard recommendations on workflow, application, interface, reports, testing and uploads to customers through the implementation process. Is responsible for go-live readiness and support as well as post-live checkups and will be required to work collaboratively with internal team members and clients to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • Build technical expertise in the field of their segment and deliver technical consultancy services on demand.
  • A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members.
  • Lead Project activities within the DSC team department and co-ordination with other teams to reach the collective milestone of the project.
      Required Qualifications
      • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science , Electrical Engineering or comparable discipline from an accredited university.
      • Must have very good understanding in the IT Systems & Digital Implementation Services.
      • Deep experience with Unix, Windows systems.
      • Experience in Linux, SQL, Python, Docker, Jenkins, AWS.
      • Well versed in the Database systems.
      • Experience in software analysis, design, methodology, development and architecture.
      • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
      • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
      • Ability to lead a small project team.
      • Experience in Utility domain and customer engagement.
      Desired Characteristics
      • Knowledge on ADMS systems, Power Systems, GIS, Enterprise Mobility, SCADA.
      • Experience in CI/CD practices.
      • Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
      • Ability to work in the Agile methodology.
      • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
      • Good PC skills required, including use of standard MS Office applications
