Join us as leader of our Technology Solutions Delivery & Support Team – Using your industry leading technical and consulting skills, you’ll spearhead our efforts to provide technical leadership for our global clients’ most challenging problems and transformational activities, while helping to position and win future opportunities that emerge from new technology and ways of working. You will act as a focal point to grow and develop our technical capabilities in solution and service delivery, service management & operations, service transition and through-life support.

High-performing digital solutions and services are critical to all businesses and government organisations. With digital services and data at the core of operations, organisations look to technology to support and enable their business growth and efficiency agenda. We help organisations and their people to agree the needs of system users and how these support the business. We translate these into designs, develop the solution and deliver it as a system or a service.  We manage this delivery and support throughout the lifecycle of the system or service.

This role may require travel to client locations; this may occasionally include international travel.

The Role:

This is intended as a guide to the type of work the Solution Delivery & Support Team Leader may be asked to perform and is not an exhaustive list.

  • Provide effective leadership and direction to the Solution Delivery & Support team, including line management of your direct reports.
  • Develop the capabilities of the Solution Delivery & Support team, to meet current and future demands, in line with our strategy and plans.  Strengthening our Service Management and Service Delivery capability for digital, data and technology services is a major focus.
  • As a member of the Technology Solutions leadership team, make a significant and proactive contribution to the Technology Solutions Practice, helping to ensure we meet the strategic objectives and aspirations.
  • Manage the resourcing of the Solution Delivery & Support team, including recruitment and deployment.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for our projects, ensuring we provide effective contributions on all aspects of Solution Delivery & Support.
  • Support sales, marketing and business development opportunities to help ensure we sell our services and capabilities and maintain a growing pipeline of business.
  • Develop plans to help achieve our aspirations and deliver on our strategic priorities.
  • 50% of time will be spent working on customer-funded projects. The remaining time is expected to be indirect, working on leadership & management activities, building capability and supporting Win Work activities.

The Person:

Key Characteristics-

  • Breadth of consultancy and/or implementation experience, working as a trusted advisor directly with clients and/or as part of a wider team.
  • Strong leadership & communication skills; able to build trust, collaborate widely, get the best out of people, develop and mentor colleagues.
  • Strong commercial acumen.  Able to articulate the value we bring, the services we offer and the outcomes we can deliver.  Experience of building winning propositions.
  • Growth mindset. Strives to overcome obstacles and challenges with determination and perseverance.


Excellent consulting and/or delivery credentials. We can be flexible about the specific disciplines, but expect significant technical capability in some of the following areas:

  • Service architecture.
  • Service management & Operations.
  • Delivery management including service delivery and technical/engineering project/programme management.
  • Lifecycle management including Agile Scrum.
  • IT systems.
  • Operational Technology systems in core markets & domains.


  • Broad professional experience in Solution Delivery & Support aspects such as service architecture, service operations, technical/engineering delivery management.
  • Track record of growing capability, including People, Process and Tools aspects.
  • Existing knowledge of Market Sector e.g., Aerospace, Defence, SIG, CNI, Nuclear.
  • Experience as a leader of diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
