C# Web Developers with .Net experience…… should be working here! This is a large and exciting Defence Project where you will understand business requirements and translate them into working solutions. Joining the Applications Portfolio team, you will support all corporate applications across a large MOD estate, including cloud offerings such as Oracle Fusion and ServiceNow, working on highly available applications across multiple platforms, building robust, scalable, and modern applications utilising a range of tools and processes


As an applications developer, you'll translate software requirements into workable programming code and maintain and develop programs for use in the business.
You have strong problem solving skills and are able to prototype and develop new concepts to solve business and technical problems

This role is primarily remote with some occasional travel to our Portsmouth or Salisbury site.


You do need to be eligible for SC Clearance for this position.

What you'll be doing:


Produce software component designs and specifications Building and evolving complex web applications, APIs, application front and back ends working closely with the Project Manager to ensure that solutions are designed to meet business requirements  Create test data and testing environments for unit, link and integration testing Support with integration testing, system testing, acceptance testing and implementation Produce system documentation and estimates Implement change control procedures ​Implement software configuration management processes for work What you’ll bring:


Solid understanding and working experience with C#, ASP, .NET core or web development Consistent track record of developing SOAP and/or REST interfaces Knowledge of working with an application lifecycle management tool such as Azure DevOps, Git or Bitbucket HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript experience Frontend UI framework and C# MVC and WebAPI Experience of working within an Agile Development Environment.
