Technical Delivery Lead - Enhanced DV Cleared (UK*C)

  • Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, UK 
  • Clearance Type: Enhanced DV (UK*C). This role does not support MoD/UKSV DV .
  • Day Rate: Up to £650 per day inside IR35
  • Duration: 12 Months

Role Description

 

You must be able to appreciate complex practical, technical, and commercial issues and to work with a broad range of stakeholders; working with project teams that are either local to you or distributed across multiple sites.

 

In your role, you'll enable organisations to achieve maximum benefits from digital transformation and innovative operations. You'll work directly with clients, identifying, shaping and managing better delivery capabilities. You'll be supported to lead your own work packages or Agile delivery teams.

 

 

 

Skills and experience

 

A working knowledge and demonstrable experience in all or some of the following areas:

 

 

 

  • Experience of implementing solutions on Software Defined Radios (SDR).

     

  • Experience of RF Propagation / Antenna design including Electronically Formed Steerable Beams.

     

  • Proficient in the calculation of equipment RF safe distances for personnel, ordnance and fuels based on either manufacturer specifications or empirical evidence.

     

  • Present equipment RF safe distances in a report for peer review at equipment safety boards and develop credible mitigations to RF hazards. 

     

  • A member of a related Professional Engineering Institution and having either gained or working towards Chartered Engineer status.

     

  • Experience of OpenCPI.

     

  • Practical experience of Agile / Scrum would be highly desirable. 

     

  • Experience of leading and motivating teams towards successful delivery.

     

  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices. 

     

  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.

     

  • Excellent analytical skills.

     

  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.

     

  • Customer Focused; delivers a high level of customer services to our external and internal customers. 

     

  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.

     

  • The ability to manage all aspects of project delivery including forecasting, planning, risk and change management and financial reporting.

     

 

 

A working knowledge and understanding in all or some of the following areas:

 

  • APMP or Prince2 qualified

     

  • Risk Management

     

  • Use of tools JIRA, MS Project, MSOffice

     

  • Cyber tools and Techniques

     

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • You will be responsible for assisting the project manager and technically directing project teams.

     

  • As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery management lifecycle using it to ensure your projects meet the needs of your clients and the needs of Atkins.

     

  • In your role you will be responsible for the delivery of our contracted work to time, cost and quality.

     

  • Being able to engage with a broad range of stakeholders, and possessing the skills needed to consult with your clients, is essential to this role.
