LUNIQ are looking for a Product Security Consultant to join our customer’s exciting submarine programme. You will serve as a key resource for security and information risk matters within the team. The successful candidate will possess subject matter expertise and experience to ensure the delivery, management, and through-life support of submarine systems and products. They will provide expert advice and consultancy to various functional and capability areas, design authorities, and stakeholders.

 

Position: Contract (Inside)

Salary: up to £650 d/p

Location: Hybrid, 3 days a week on site in Surrey office

Clearance: Must have a valid UK SC Clearance

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Risk Management Accreditation Document Sets (RMADs) for submarine systems and products.
  • Perform risk assessments utilizing various methods such as IS1, ISO27001, NIST, Mitre, and STRIDE.
  • Select and implement security controls, ensuring compliance and providing guidance on best practices.
  • Attend and actively participate in Security Working Groups (SWGs), design reviews, and gate reviews.
  • Contribute to and influence the development of product security strategies, policies, guidance, best practices, and awareness.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant STEM subject or Information Security related field.
  • Strong experience in developing Risk Management Accreditation Document Sets (RMADS).
  • Current or former CISSP or CISM certification.
  • Solid background in HMG and MoD Policies, SPF, JSP440, JSP 604, and TEMPEST.
  • Proven experience in assessing and managing information risk in line with industry best practices.

 

Advantageous Experience:

  • Former CLAS consultant.
  • Holds NCSC CCP SIRA status.
  • Industry Security Qualifications held, such as CCNP, MS, CompTIA, or SANS.
  • Experience applying Product Security/Information Security concepts to relevant technologies within defense, maritime, or closely linked domains.
  • Product Security Engineering experience in the defense, maritime, or closely linked industries.
