Service Transition & Assurance Manager - London/Cheltenham - 12 months -£500- £600 per day - DV needed

Service Transition Management - Will work with deliveries providing service governance, support and guidance to transition new or significantly changed services, including: identification of transition operating model, base line service artefacts (ops guides, knowledge base, contracts, and finances), facilitate and Chair Service Readiness activities to ensure smooth transition, define transition approach, help identify service operational test requirements to feed overall test plan, development and progression of the operational support requirements and service acceptance criteria, in conjunction with stakeholder requirements, identification of service risks, items including exclusions, constraints, and single points of failure, escalation of risks and issues, continuous improvement, capturing new Stakeholder requirements.

Product Lifecycle Assurance – The role of the Service Experience Consultant within Product Lifecycle Assurance is to provide subject matter expertise for the complete life cycle of a product from cradle to grave. Engaging with the Capability Centres, delivery teams, product owner, product manager and service owner to ensure that the requirements of the IT support and services stakeholders have been met and that the product is fit for purpose for its stated lifespan including: supporting, influencing and advising team colleagues in the management of complex assurance activity, build and maintain relationships within Service Management, and wider stakeholders. Manage complex relationships with programmes/projects, mediation as required and escalating where appropriate Initiate with service assurance requirements – Initiate with the question sets from the various domains and assurance requirement owners.
 

Skills Required:

  • Excellent knowledge of Service transition concepts and techniques
  • Detailed knowledge of service management concepts and techniques
  • Ability to think strategically and influence direction
  • Experience of service operating model design for major IT Services
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally

Skills Desired

  • Programme / Project Management experience
  • Commercial / Finance experience
  • Experience working in an operational ICT environment
  • Understanding of project management and delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, SAFe)
