Infrastructure Engineer (DV Cleared)
Contract Length: 12 months
Location: Abbey Wood/Corsham – Hybrid, 2-3 days/week in either office
Rate: £550 – Inside IR35
Clearance: DV Cleared

• Reviewing and providing IT software engineering advice on the delivery of cloud infrastructure services and applications to support projects ensuring useable capability is available for front line forces.
• Providing tech leadership to solve complex problems with innovative solutions that enhance capability
• On behalf of Defence Digital, acting as the intelligent and informed customer in Interfaces with industry and Defence Intelligence / the Front Line Commands.
• Working closely with industry partners, both nationally and internationally
• Ensure technical risks and opportunities are captured and actively managed
• Develop or oversee the Industry development of solutions, developing design documentation (high and low level)
• Understand the product owner perspective and can liaise suitably.
• Able to conduct in-depth technical tasking and/or able to use the requirements eng perspective to translate that into technical tasking.
• Build ad-hoc applications to meet a user story or request from command quickly. This may include reverse engineering of existing applications or build from scratch to meet requirement. This encompasses end to end solutions from infrastructure and data to frontend web applications.

Essential:
• Demonstrable Infrastructure systems engineer experience
• Demonstrable experience of designing and implementing ITIL Service Management Framework in a complex multi-supplier environment
• Excellent communication skills in order to collaborate and build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrate and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the technology landscape and trends within it that may impact defence.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of ONC/BTEC (level 4) in Systems Engineering / Computer Science or Similar qualifications in related discipline and experience in an IT Systems Engineering role.

Desirable:
• Degree in Systems Engineering / Computer Science.
• Experience of AGILE, Cloud Computing, AI and ML
• CompTIA Network+
• Cisco Networking Qualifications (CCNA, CCNP)
• AWS Cloud Fundamentals
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
