Are you a Project Manager wanting to work on cutting-edge projects that have a direct impact on national security?

This role requires the person to travel to our customer sites at least 2/3 times per month. Our customer has three sites - Stevenage, Portsmouth, and Newport.

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team that is supporting a renowned Aerospace organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex infrastructure projects for our clients, ensuring successful delivery while meeting project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

As a Project Manager in our Infrastructure team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and analysts, to plan, execute, and deliver large-scale infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for managing project risks, budgets, schedules, and resources, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory and security requirements.

What you will be doing:

  • Plan, execute, and deliver Defence projects within specified timeframes, budgets, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and designers, to ensure project success
  • Develop project plans, manage resources, and track progress against project milestones
  • Monitor and mitigate project risks, and resolve issues as they arise
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to key stakeholders, including senior leadership and clients
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements
  • Drive project teams to achieve project goals in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Continuously improve project management processes and methodologies
  • Provide thought leadership and technical guidance to the organization and external audiences

What you will bring: 

  • Experience leading Project Teams , experience with agile methodologies is a bonus
  • Experience in managing change using multiple resources from Operations and Projects 
  • Knowledge of the Scrum framework, with all its artifacts and techniques 
  • Ability to coordinate people and projects  
  • Excellent communication skills  
  • Excellent team leadership skills  

It would be great if you had: 

  • Experience of acting as a Scrum Master for a Scrum Team operating as part of an Agile release train
