Location: Working from home but with some travel to London and Corsham.

Overview:

Our customer is looking for a Senior Project Manager to support  their Cyber Resilience Programme. 

The candidate will be expected to manage the Vulnerability Research Project. The key objective of this project is to reduce cyber risk identifying vulnerabilities before they are found and/or are exploited by their adversaries. This will be achieved through engaging with some of the best security researchers in the world and by leveraging cyber-security experts to collaboratively identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
The project uses vulnerability research techniques, such as engaging with the ethical hacking community to find vulnerabilities in key IT assets. These techniques will include but are not limited to:

  • Remote targeted Bug Bounty challenges.
  • In person targeted Bug Bounty challenges.
  • A continuous Bug Bounty programme, which is known as Vulnerability Rewards Programme (VRP.)
  • A continuous Vulnerability Disclosure Programme (VDP) - VDP delivered, now focusing on Supply Chain.
  • Red and Purple Teaming.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing a team of eight people. The role will include performing as Deputy Project Manager across five workstreams. They will provide strategic direction and guidance to the team, to enable them to effectively deliver against the outputs and outcomes detailed in the projects Business Case. This role will report management Information into senior leadership and the PMO to manage the projects scheduling, change control, benefits, threats, risks, opportunities, and dependencies. The role will include managing budgets and working with the Commercial team to issue tenders, assess bids and ensure all contractual documentation is delivered, ensuring full end to end project delivery.  The right candidate will be a decisive, adaptable and proactive project management professional able to build strong collaborative relationships with Vulnerability Research Project colleagues as well as their wider colleagues and project stakeholders. 

Responsibilities:

  • The overall success and the delivery of the Vulnerability Research Project.
  • Managing a team of eight people and overseeing the successful delivery of all five workstreams.
  • Deliver complex cyber solutions into operational environments.
  • Provide strategic vision and implement best practices for this project plus the wider Cyber Resilience Programme.
  • Build teams in a decentralised environment focussing on morale, confidence, and ensuring an alignment with project/programme objectives and strategies.
  • Report Management Information into senior leadership and the PMO that includes all workstreams.
  • Manage budgets and provide forecasting.
  • Oversee all commercial aspects of project delivery, from issuing tenders, to procurement, managing invoicing of third-party suppliers, contract amendments though to termination and close-out activities. 
  • Have input into business cases, define project requirements, outputs, outcomes and benefits.
  • Deliver stakeholder mapping and analysis plus ensure there is clear engagement with all parties.  
  • Project planning, scheduling and resource management.
  • Change implementation planning and management.
  • Requirement’s definition and management.
  • Project controls and governance.
  • Change control.
  • Risk and issue management.
  • Benefits management.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven track record of developing, implementing and managing projects, within large complex programmes/organisations.
  • Understanding of basic project management methodologies, tools and techniques including but not limited to: Budgeting, Scheduling, Documentation Development, Task Management, Project Control and Risk Management.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills including the ability to influence peers and senior leadership.
  • Be able to develop a strong network.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills including the ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Able to build and develop teams, working in a decentralised environment. 
  • Proactive stakeholder engagement.

Desirable Skills:

  • Working knowledge of government agencies.
  • Experience of working within Cyber.
  • Experience of dealing with the media and developing content for speakers.

Candidates must be SC cleared and sole UK Nationals.
