Key responsibilities:
• Design, implement and maintain the organisation's SQL infrastructure,
• Monitor and troubleshoot SQL server performance issues.
• Manage and maintain SQL server databases.
• Provide ongoing support to development and operations teams for SQL-related issues
• Configuring and tuning SQL servers for optimal performance
• Documenting database infrastructure and related processes
Core skills & experience for this role:
• Demonstrable experience in SQL infrastructure design and support
• Strong understanding of SQL server architecture, performance tuning, and backup/recovery
• SQL high availability and disaster recovery technologies
• Windows Server, Active Directory, and other Windows-based technologies
• SQL security best practices
• SQL performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• SQL replication and high availability
