Job Description

The National Security business in London is growing and there are an increasing number of opportunities to work with a range of National Security clients to provide solutions that have a real impact.

Not only will your teams be directly making a huge impact upon the systems you work on, you'll be doing it for an organisation who makes a huge impact to the security of the UK.

We are looking for a Mid-Senior Level Delivery Manager to join our team following continuous growth and success in the UK Government sector.

What you could be doing for us:

  • Developing and managing teams, including managing their delivery and performance and providing appraisal and support to their development
  • Preparing and maintaining schedules for project activities and events, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements, showing the critical path, reporting and tracking milestones, resource levelling, baselining and tracking reporting, contingency and risk adequately covered in the plan
  • Identifying, addressing and resolving differences between individuals and/or interest groups
  • Maintaining definitions of the requirements of projects
  • Developing and agreeing budgets for projects and controlling forecast and actual costs against them including production of financial reports
  • Managing both internal and external stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests

What background are we looking for?

  • Taken full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of higher complexity projects, programmes or portfolios
  • Acted as a primary point of contact for senior clients and sub-contracted 3rd parties, and has day to day accountability for the service and solution being provided.
  • Provided support, mentoring and assurance to projects at lower levels of complexity/size.
  • Identified business winning opportunities for new or extended work, within or related to the scope of the project, programme or portfolio.
  • Coached and provided guidance to one or more Project Professionals or Senior Project Professionals throughout the project lifecycle, managing their performance and supporting their development.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential having interacted with various levels of stakeholder, internal and external in your previous role
  • You will need to be a motivated individual who is willing to help out the wider business unit wherever possible
  • Able to juggle different tasks and projects well alongside one another and manage priorities accordingly.

Professional Qualifications:

It would be great if you also had experience in some of these, but if not we'll help you with them:

  • Project Management qualification such as P3M, APMP or PRINCE 2

A scaled Agile framework qualification such as SAFe

Security Clearance

Only those with the permanent and unrestricted right to live and work in the UK will be considered for a position within BAE Systems Applied Intelligence.
