An IT Delivery Manager is needed on a contract basis. The role is until approximately the end of March '24.

The role is within the Organisation's Head Office’s Security, Safety and business area and due to the size of the team, you may be called upon to help with other functions from time to time.

The role will validate other business units’ footprint within the Head Office, while championing smarter working practices.

The Accommodation Strategy’s aims are to enable all staff to thrive, and to maximise the opportunity to create space and embed smarter working in the Main Building (in London) to accommodate Head Office priorities arising from outcomes of the Modernising Programme and other strategic organisational changes.

You will implement and co-ordinate the Accommodation Strategy for Head Office, including follow on work, ensuring alignment with the changing needs of the new Head Office which is being reshaped to modernise and transform the organisation as part of a new Operating Model.

You will report to the Head Office’s Estate Strategy.

Existing security clearance is not a prerequisite but will always help

What you’ll do:

  • Accountable for leading and delivering IT strand of project Blueprint to ensure they deliver agreed outcomes within time, cost, and quality constraints.
  • Day to day running of the IT workstream, providing effective leadership and management controls and provide high quality documentation.
  • You will adopt appropriate project management delivery methodologies, managing the effective transition between project phases, and helping to design the project structure and organisation appropriate to stage.
  • The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering the project, developing capability, and fostering an inclusive culture of innovation.
  • Coordinate the development of business cases and track delivery. Schedule / manage resources to deliver the project independently or within a small team.

Who you are:

  • Project management qualification, e.g., Prince 2, APM, PMQ, or equivalent.
  • High level of competence in MS Office, SharePoint, and MS Project
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritise.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to constructively challenge business units on risks and opportunities.
  • Experience of delivering medium scale IT enabled business change projects.
  • Project governance, including manage a project plan, and tacking risks/dependencies and issues.
  • Able to demonstrate commercial awareness including managing costs and budgets

Desirable:

  • Project or Programme Management experience and qualification, e.g., Managing Successful Programmes
  • The successful candidate should possess drive, strong inter-personal skills, the ability to build positive and productive relationships and be willing to embrace change and a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency delivery.
