Senior Infrastructure DevOps Engineer

We're looking for a number of Senior Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to join one of our public sector clients.

• Length: 6 months
• Rate: £700 per day
• Ir35 status: Inside ir35
• Location: National/hybrid working/2 days on site, 3 days remote

As a Senior Infrastructure DevOps Engineer you will have:

• Excellent knowledge of LAN switching, (VLAN's, Spanning Tree, Trunking, Link Aggregation) network security (NAC and PKI) technologies and a strong knowledge of client and site to site VPN, SSL, IKEv1, IKEv2
• Good knowledge of network services, (DNS, DHCP, HSRP, QoS, SNMP, Netconf, NetFlow), routing protocols (AWS, Azure), IP Addressing, subnetting, network monitoring and management technologies and products, including advanced Wi-Fi and Firewall design, implementation and configuration (Juniper MIST, Meraki, Aruba, Ports, Rules, Filtering, NAT) ie Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper or other vendors
• Have an understanding of version control, use of containers and minimal operating systems, container orchestration such as Kubernetes or ECS, test-driven development and an appetite to learn
• Review specifications, evaluate, design, configure, develop, test, deploy and monitor programs/scripts of medium to high complexity, using the proper standards and tools. eg security focused tools/infrastructure systems in a global environment.
• Design systems characterised by medium levels of risk, impact, and business or technical complexity. You know how to select appropriate design standards, methods and tools and ensure they are applied effectively.
• You can review the systems designs of others to ensure the selection of right technology, efficient use of resources and the integration of multiple systems and technology, using a variety of technologies such as Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Python, Kubernetes, Docker, ECS Fargate , AWS and Azure for infrastructure, Grafana and Prometheus for monitoring, Terraform and CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning, Github and Github actions for code management
