Is Cloud Database technologies (AWS and Azure SQLaaS) your expertise?

We are currently recruiting for a Cloud Database Administrator to join our growing IT Op’s team within SSCL (Shared Services Connected Limited)
You will provide a database support, design and consultancy service including: application database design, monitoring and control, database backup and recovery, database performance, data dictionary and encyclopedias.

This role offers Hybrid working with the need to be on-site once a month in Kings's Lynn, Norfolk 

What you’ll be doing:

• Delivering of a wide range of database administration assignments to meet customer satisfaction
• Ensuring that the data management component of the solutions being proposed is technically sound, is capable of being provided within budget and is capable of supporting the applications which are using it.
• Maintaining and developing a high level of knowledge, skills and competencies in a range of database specialisms.
• Providing an extensive range of data management solutions.
• Providing technical direction to delivery teams to ensure the data management components of systems meet their design specifications and service targets.
• Ensuring that appropriate software configuration management processes are implemented for database administration configurable items.

What you’ll bring:

• Expertise in Cloud Database technologies (AWS and Azure SQLaaS)
• Experience in MS SQL Server 2005
• SQL Query writing
• Coding experience- .NET, C#
• Demonstrable experience of working on large or complex software engineering or delivery programmes/ projects with multiple database and data management technical teams.

It would be great if you had:

• Azure Data Lake experience
• Azure Data Factory experience

Location:  Remote working with occasional travel to Kings Lynn, Norfolk 
Security Clearance Level: You must be eligible and willing to undergo the SC & NPPV2 Clearance

Benefits: £5,400 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical, life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund which is 3% of base salary
