The protective security under consideration includes technical and physical measures, security officers and policing. The project aims to ensure the protective security at each site is proportionate, efficient and value for money.

About the role
This design lead role is being recruited to manage the design aspects of a significant project reviewing the protective security of a number of key sites around Great Britain. Duties and responsibilities

Ensuring a coherent design process in collaboration with the relevant teams from RHH, MPS and HSG, in line with the existing detailed design templates.
Working alongside the senior project manager to manage the design process alongside broader delivery of the project. This includes identifying key dependencies and impacts to the delivery of a future security model. This will support the development of implementation plans for each site.
Responsible for the identification and management design assumptions, dependencies, risks and issues.
Coordinating the development of detailed designs for each site in conjunction with work stream leads and tripartite design teams: both in terms of documentation, and supporting the delivery of the project???s objectives.
Development of a holistic overview of the site designs and undertake assessment of the cumulative model(s) to support delivery of the project's objectives.
Supporting the project lead in the development and presentation of detailed designs, including preparing documents for governance forums.
Deliver regular design workshops to monitor the development of detailed designs across each site, collaborating with the Tripartite teams, the wider delivery team and other key stakeholders.
The key deliverables

Detailed designs of the protective security surrounding each site (up to 14 sites)
Facilitation of design workshops to develop the above.
Detailed holistic design covering all sites.
Skills and experience requirements

Public sector, policing or security experience would be beneficial but is not a necessity
Experience overseeing an operational design process (people and processes)
Project management experience
High level stakeholder management experience
Strong leadership skills
Strong presentation skills
Systematic approach to problem solving
