Your responsibilities in this role:

  • Work to standards, processes & procedures, ensure rigour, resilience and continuous improvement in solutions, meeting all regulatory requirements, conforming to specifications, quality and certification requirements
  • Support the technical compliance, verification and validation activities of all contractual, statutory and legal requirements
  • Ensure that the technical solution is fit for purpose and meets the customer requirements while working within the allocated electrical engineering budget for each project
  • Work collaboratively with all disciplines to ensure effective integration of electrical systems and components within mechanical restraints to ensure a defined electrical build standard
  • Production of electrical plans, schedules, procedures, specifications, reports and other deliverables as required. Produce electrical design drawings using the approved electrical design software package
  • Conduct peer checks of electrical drawings and electrical checks of applicable mechanical drawings
  • Carry out mark-up changes on drawings as required and raise Queries in PLM to ensure configuration control and defined build standard
  • Support the CE marking of in-house manufactured electrical equipment
  • Provide electrical engineering support for trials & testing including ATS functional testing
  • You will be supportive of continuous improvement initiatives and be happy to share ideas so we continue to evolve as a business area.

  • Sound understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Ability to apply your skills and knowledge across a wide and diverse range of projects.
  • Good understanding of BS 7671 Low Voltage Electrical Installations, IET Wiring Regulations (current edition).
  • Understanding of electrical drawings including (but not limited to) Block Diagrams, Schematics, Wiring Diagrams and Harnesses
  • Production of electrical test documentation
  • Planning and delivery to schedules
  • Beneficial to have experience supporting development of engineering solutions
