Senior Security Operations Manager

Location: Barrow-in-Furness, 3 times a week on-site

Salary: Up to £70,000 p/a

Due to the security classification of the work, you must be a UK national (no dual nationality) and must hold a DV security clearance

The job on offer

Are you passionate about cybersecurity? Are you an excellent communicator with demonstrable experience of security activities within organisations? Would you relish putting these skills into practice by taking on a role to protect our clients from cyber threats? As the Security Manager, you will be the security lead within the client account IT Security Operations Team.
 

Your role

• Support the Head of IT Security Operations and deputise in their absence. Identify and prioritise Security Incidents, Security Tickets and Security Service Requests. Manage escalated Security Incidents from a people and process perspective. Bring incidents to successful conclusions with thorough remediation plans Manage Security Testing process for contractual security assurance. Identify and communicate current and emerging information security threats.  Assess current technology architecture for vulnerabilities, weaknesses and for possible upgrades or improvement

Your profile

• We are looking for an individual who is passionate about cybersecurity and has experience driving and delivering security services within organisations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; someone who can build and maintain effective working relationships with various people (clients, 3rd Parties and Partner contacts).  We hope to find someone who enjoys working collaboratively, who is open to sharing knowledge and helping others.
