Senior Programme Manager

Our client requires an experienced Programme Manager (Outside IR35) to deliver a portfolio of technology and data related IT projects up to the value of £50m over 3 years, as part of an IT business improvement programme. This role would suit experienced Programme Managers who have extensive IT programme management, managed programme values circa £50m and management and leadership of approx 15 Snr PM and PM's, recent experience in Government, delivered a portfolio of projects of similar size and scale within IT Technology and Data. Indicative experience required: The Programme Manager will be required to provide effective management and leadership of programme resources both direct and indirect, shape the delivery by working with stakeholders and other senior colleagues to develop the programme approach and implement the plan to meet the required quality, timescales and cost. Contribute to continuous improvement, carry out regular programme reviews ensuring risks and dependencies are captured and mitigated, accountable for internal and external supplier performance, manage relationships, contributing to commercial activity e.g. supplier contracts. Utilising recognised formal delivery methods e.g. Prince, APMP and general ITIL service management principles, good understanding of the following, Technology and Data projects, commercial / contract issues that may arise, public sector financial control & procurement processes. Any knowledge of Data related legislation is highly desirable e.g. Data Protection Act, EU Procurement Directives, IT Security and Freedom of Information Act.
