Are you looking for a new job in procurement? How about an exciting role as a Buyer supporting our Army customers? You’ll get to work independently while delivering on one-of-a-kind projects. Join a great team at Aspire Defence Services…

Your key responsibility as a Materials Buyer is to support and provide effective procurement service to the operations team and the Garrison, in accordance with ADSL policies, processes and procedures.

This will cover but is not limited to; planning, supplier management & development, demand & inventory planning, and supporting the operational garrison teams.

This means that you’ll need to be well versed in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management. And should have proven experience in effectively communicating with all stakeholder levels.

You should also be able to support supply chain activities such as supplier development plans to ensure an adequate supply chain is in place to satisfy materials, services, projects and overhead requirements, while working alongside the operational team(s) and the procurement lead(s)

You’ll be working independently but will be part of a team and have regular meetings with your manager, who will be willing to support your growth and help you deliver on set tasks and goals.

But first, meet the team…

With a 35-year contract, making soldiers’ lives better is at the heart of everything we do at Aspire Defence Services.

Seriously, picture a heart (the real one) and imagine how hard it works to keep the body running, making sure every part gets exactly what it needs to thrive. That’s our mission; to deliver a modern, fully serviced, flexible working environment for soldiers.

And just as the heart needs certain parts to keep the body alive, we need the dedication and commitment of our people to support our customers. We deliver a broad range of services for one-third of the British Army living and working on our patch, and we're proud of the work we do.

We’re all about nurturing great teams, and our award-winning safety and wellbeing initiatives are built on keeping an eye out for one another and having a good work-life balance.

In addition to being part of our team, you’ll also get…
