Im Hiring an Inside IR35 homebased SC or NPPV cleared contractors with the following:

Skills & Knowledge:

  • 5+ years’ experience in portfolio governance or assurance role in a PMO function Degree or a demonstrable level of competency in Programme Portfolio Governance and Governance, Management and or Computing Prince 2 Practitioner or another project or programme delivery framework accreditation Experience of assuring multiple muti-million pound project and programmes simultaneously Proven experience in the line management of staff Excellent understanding and experience of working in a team to designing and delivering complex digital projects, programmes and portfolios Demonstrable competency in strategic planning, business/service planning and performant delivery of such strategies and plans Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and products e.g., MS Office, Project Online, Power Apps Proven record of industry awareness of research in trends and innovative approaches and technologies
     

Experience:

Essential

  • Demonstrable and proven IT experience of delivery support in large and complex organisations with equally complex service requirements
  • To be able to provide clear and concise advice and reporting to senior staff and external stakeholders regarding digital delivery
  • Demonstrable track record of developing strong working relationships with a wide number of stakeholders, particularly in managing expectations across a large number of disparate customers, supplier and stakeholder groups
  • An understanding of digital, operational and technical complexity and the ability to identify delivery and change resistance risks and propose appropriate assurance and governance mitigation approaches
  • Knowledge and use in practice of project management techniques e.g. project controls and producing and reviewing work schedules using Microsoft Project Online and Power BI Dashboard reporting
  • Experience of designing and facilitating workshops
  • An engagement style of leading from the front, ensuring visibility, communicating to staff and delivery partners to make sense of digital delivery and efficiencies
  • Experience in forecasting, declaring and finding resolutions to assurance conflicts between project and programmes across a portfolio Excellent organisational, decision making and negotiating skills

 

 

Desirable

  • Experience of Policing and/or Government organisation governance
  • Experience or qualified in MSP (Managing Successful Programmes)
  • Experience in the establishment and operation of a portfolio based PMO function
  • Proven domain knowledge in terms of the successful delivery and/or transition of internal service(s) to managed service providers and/or outsourcing environments
  • Excellent inter-personal and public speaking skills
