We require a Senior QAT Analyst for our Government Client to be a vital part of the Clients Defence pillar which is an established function delivering test solutions and technical support to a portfolio of Programme Managed Services.

For this role we require candidates who have previous experience of working within a public sector/government client with a working knowledge of the Defence and National Security sector

Reporting to the Programme Manager this role is accountable for testing technical changes to IT Services to ensure minimal disruption to end users.

A key element of the role will be preparing test solutions based on Business and/or Operational requirements and additionally, there will be requirements to advise on test estimations and manage delivery against these.

The role will contribute to static testing with the other team members, such as Business Analysts, to identify early those issues that can be fixed before software is developed, in order to reduce overall costs to Project and Business area.

This role will require you as the Senior QAT Analyst to manage all defects and liaise between Business and/or Operational Stakeholders and software developers to meet Business and Operational priorities.

As the Senior QAT Analyst you will possess strong technical knowledge and testing experience, alongside the ability to analyse, interrogate and evaluate data.




Essential Skills & Experience required

As the Senior QAT Analyst you will possess the following:

Agile & ITIL Foundation level / relevant experience

ISTQB Certification - Advanced (formerly called ISTQB Practitioner) Microsoft technologies

Knowledge of SQL scripts used to interrogate databases

Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure setup (AWS and Azure)

Awareness of Virtual Machine management tools (e.g. VMware)

Knowledge and practical experience in stress, load, soak and performance testing

Knowledge of continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD)

Basic Networking knowledge (e.g. Cisco)

Test Automation toolsets

A working knowledge of the Defence and National Security sector

DV Clearance is preferred but not essential







As the Senior QAT Analyst your responsibilities will include:

To analyse, interrogate and evaluate data

Prepare test solutions based on Business and/or Operational requirements

Engage with Business and/or Operational Stakeholders to ensure the test plan and outcome meet requirements

Advise on test estimations and manage delivery against these

Create test documentation to support the agreed test solution

Participate in test execution within the test environment/test application

Manage all defects and liaise between Business and/or Operational Stakeholders and software developers to meet Business and/or Operational priorities

Contribute to static testing with the other team members, such as Business Analysts, to identify early those issues that can be fixed before software is developed, in order to reduce overall costs to Project and Business area

Support the Go-Live/Production deployment activities of the Business and/or Operational solution

For small project/solution, complete all test management and test execution tasks without additional assistance.

For larger projects/solutions, complete elements/sprints under the supervision of the QAT Manager

Collaborate with delivery teams and determine the testability of functional and non- functional requirements
