Our client, a large government customer, are seeking an Environmental Protection Support Manager to join their team. The role is based in Bristol. The role requires SC clearance.

Requirements are scheduled to run until 07/10/2023 and offer a rate up to £415/day

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

Main Responsibilities

  • Policy and Guidance – review, update and maintain each corporate Policy and Guidance document annually as directed, in conjunction with the Policy Lead.
  • Operation and Infrastructure Environmental Protection Steering Group secretariat duties including but not limited to note taking, slide pack preparation, email communication attendees and issuing minutes and RoADs.
  • Conservation and Biodiversity Working Group secretariat duties including but not limited to note taking, slide pack preparation, email communication attendees and issuing minutes and RoADs.
  • Represent the team at meetings where necessary and brief the team on outcomes where appropriate.
  • Produce and edit content for both the Specialism Newsletter and Environmental Portal on a quarterly basis.
  • Campaigns and Events – run awareness campaigns and support events for Environmental Protection and directly support the World Environment Day Working Group.
  • Supporting the Conservation and Biodiversity Working Group in achieving its objectives and action as directed.
  • Develop the Natural Capital Register, including liaising with stakeholders as appropriate to align registers, conduct a gap analysis and seek data inputs.
  • Assist in the development of the Environmental Strategy Implementation Plan through liaising with Workstream Leads and update/managing the implementation plan spreadsheet.
  • Finalise the development of the Strategic Nature Recovery Plan and assist site Environmental Protection focal points in the development of site-specific Nature Recovery Plans.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
