IR35 status Inside IR35. Candidates must operate via an umbrella company

Contractor Rate £430 (rate payable to umbrella company)

Fixed Term Employment £72k pa with 4% pension + 25 days leave + Bank holidays

Overview:

Our customer is looking for a SC cleared Safety Manager to work within a multi-disciplined Acquisition Safety and Environmental Protection Team. They will operate as an effective Safety and / Environmental Protection Manager. The role will provide support to safety and environmental protection activities.  

This role will be responsible for:

• Defence Safety Management and Environmental Protection Planning.
• Ordnance, Munitions & Explosives (OME) Safety Management.
• Defence Regulations. (DOSR)
• Through Life Safety Management.
• Defence Safety Management Systems.
• Safety Case Management and Reporting.
• Safety Legislation, Regulation, conventions and Defence policy.
• Hazard Log Management.
• Compliance Management.

Essential skills and experience

• Delivering OME safety and environmental artefacts.
• Compiling safety case evidence, authoring safety case reports and hazard logs.
• Weapons Safety Management
• OME Safety
• Ability to lead in the safety aspects of the programme and will be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of safety artefacts.
• Experience of DE&S Safety Management Systems and Processes (POSMS).
• Experience of leading Safety Management tasks in DE&S.
• Practitioner level experience (Plan creation and update) of:
• Safety and Environmental Management Plans.
• Safety Case / A Safety Case Report.
• Hazard Logs
• Hazard identification and assessment.
• Operation of safety review meetings.
• Working with WOC.
• Working with DGM.
• Environmental management (POEMS.)
• eCassandra.
• Fault and Event Tree (FTA / ETA.)
• BowTie assessment.
• Safety arguments (CAE / GSN.)
• Knowledge of applicable legislation, regulation and standards and defence policy.
• Hermes.
• Resolve.
• ASPIRE.
• ASSERT.
