Senior Test Development Engineer (test equipment, electronics testing)

Our client is a global defence company that is currently seeking experienced Senior Test Development Engineers. Are you looking for a new opportunity to take your skills to the next level? They are a dynamic and innovative company looking for a highly skilled engineer to join their current team and take on the design, manufacture, verification and validation, along with through life technical support of board level, sub-system and system level test equipment.

As a key member of their team, you will have the opportunity to design functional test equipment and take responsibility for the overall quality of the test equipment, while providing leadership and guidance for junior engineers. You will also have the chance to document design specifications and implementation details, and take part in design reviews.

We are looking for someone with a degree in Electronic Engineering or a related subject (preferably at 2.1 Hons or higher) and test software design experience. You should have excellent knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design, the ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation, and proven experience in handover and management of designs in production.

Highly Desirable:

• Significant test development experience in industry.
• Use of Mentor Graphics schematic entry and PCB layout tools.
• Understanding of common test architectures PXI/d LXI Measurement Uncertainty and its application in test equipment design and validation Software Certification or detailed knowledge of: NI LabView, NI CVI, NI TestStand, C# Design of mix signal circuits High speed serial networks An appreciation of RF electronics
