DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer - London (hybrid) - £600 - £650 per day Inside IR35 - SC NEEDED - 12 months contract

Our strategy is changing the way our organisation works and as we progress our digital transformation, Engineering is an increasingly critical skill set. The DevOps Engineer will provide support to the delivery teams and solve complex problems.

As a DevOps engineer your focus will be on making sure that we have the tooling and strategies to make our deployments repeatable, and our products scalable and highly available. You’ll work hand in hand with Software Engineering teams to ensure we have complete visibility of the health of our systems 24x7. You’ll work with your team to ‘automate everything’ and continuous improvement will be second nature,

· Build and configure monitoring solutions to understand the state of our products and predict failures or problems before they happen

· Get involved in ongoing incidents to help us to recover quickly, identify what went wrong and ensure we learn from it

· Identify opportunities to automate manual processes in the development, integration, release and deployment of our software products

· Provide advice and support to our Software Engineers to help them understand how to build secure products which are supportable, scalable and highly available

Must have:

· An engineering background, with several years’ demonstrable experience of hands-on engineering

· Able to take the initiative, be creative and drive engineering change

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills alongside a flexible and reactive approach

Able to work independently, taking ownership of major developments and projects, but also be a strong team player
