The Supply Chain Management Analyst maintains synchronization of the supply chain between Boeing Sheffield customers and suppliers. Analyzes material requirements to determine appropriate attributes to drive accurate demand through the supply chain. Creates orders to satisfy demand requirements supporting the supply chain. Develops and controls inventory plans and integrates company, customer and supplier capabilities to optimize inventory levels, turn rates and unit cost while ensuring accurate requirements and delivery schedules. Applies knowledge of processes associated with regulating/distribution of goods through the entire manufacturing cycle to the delivery of finished products.

This position requires strong communication skills, time management, working well with others whilst maintaining emotional resilience. The successful candidate will support and embrace the Boeing Production System at an operational level constantly monitoring supply chain activities in order to fully support the requirement of the daily manufacturing schedules to the daily shifts - ensuring the management team have the data, information and support they need in order to carry out their role effectively.

In conjunction with the Management Team they will participate in systematic problem solving in order to eliminate organizational or operational roadblocks. Developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with suppliers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.

Key features of the role will include but not be limited to:

  • Release purchase orders for production materials
  • Input customer demand and maintain a positive relationship with the customer
  • Release production orders to the shop floor, split orders where required and ensure effective closure of all orders in WIP
  • Coordinate with the Boeing Procurement Agent to build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
  • Review production master schedule and forward plan
  • Engage with the wider internal Supply Chain and Quality specialists to ensure suppliers deliver to schedule and on time to meet the needs of the operation.
  • Attend internal and external meetings
  • Produce reports and statistics using SAP and other computer software
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Supply Chain to ensure the functional performance in support of the wider operational goals.
  • Correct and chase outstanding invoices which out of alignment with purchase order
  • Track tooling costs, delivery performance and invoice records

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working in SAP
  • Experience in excel advanced formulas for forecasting, metrics and performance tracking

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ideally an experienced supply chain professional with experience in aerospace or other highly regulated industry with a proven experience of working within an AS9100/ISO 9001 environment
  • CIPS accreditation/membership

  • Knowledge of Lean transformational tactics and strategies to drive standardization and continuous improvement throughout the organization
