Estate Facility Manager (EFM) (Inside IR35)

 

Contract Term: 3 – 6 Months

 

Contracting Authority: MoD

 

Location: 2 Positions required – 1 x Windsor & 1 x Inner London

 

On site 5 days a week.

 

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is a central government department with a mission to protect our country and provide the ultimate guarantee of its security and independence, as well as helping to protect its values and interests abroad.

 

We are looking for an Estate Facility Manager (EFM) who is an individual and semi-autonomous leader who will play a key role in the delivery of effective hard and soft facility management services at several sites in the South East area for the RAF, Army and UK Strategic Command. You can become a key part of British Defence interests. By managing site facilities at places such as RAF Northolt, London Horseguards, you will directly ensure that hundreds/thousands of soldiers can maintain the operational capacity needed in a time where defence is more relevant than ever.

 

Each day will be different as you review the estate and ensure that all functions are working and respond quickly and efficiently to any breakdowns. This can range from a broken lightbulb to a non-functioning lift, a drains blockage, dangerous masonry etc. No day is the same but the service we provide should always be of the highest quality.

 

Please note that, due to the nature of this requirement, active SC Clearance is a pre-requisite and application without cannot be considered.

 

 

 

As an Estates Facility Manager, your main responsibilities would be: 

 

Duties:

 

  • MOD establishment – daily at sites – interacting and holding meeting with military personnel – formal weekly meeting Conducting assurance on Soft/Hard FM Liaising with soft / hard contractors Soft FM – cleaning / catering – awareness of Food Safety Hard FM – facilities manager, knowledge of Asbestos regulations Fire regulations Meeting agenda – ensure subjects get reviewed – check Hard FM provider confirms sites are safe and compliant at all times – IF FAILS expectations – Facilities Manager rectifies this Assurance – walking the establishment – checking cleanliness / tidiness of sites (checking bins) – monitored monthly but actioned casually Phone through to help desk to report errors and errors need correcting

 

Essential:

  • Please note that, due to the nature of this requirement, active SC Clearance is a pre-requisite and application without cannot be considered. Estates Facility management experience Confidence to hold meetings IT skills Public/ Private sector experience
