Role Summary:

To provide engineering and process expertise in all manufacturing departments and to be responsible for the management of the chlorine system within the Heatric etching factory. Focusing on process control and quality related improvements to advise and develop solutions to operational issues.

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of the chlorine system to meet the guidance of HSG28
  • Develop and improve future etching technology within the Heatric Langley Drive etching facility
  • Act as a project leader for process engineering projects
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement activities and implement accordingly
  • Introduce and implement new product development processes and documentation
  • Oversee quality measures, reporting on Right-First-Time and NCRs
  • Work with HSE to ensure that manufacturing processes are compliant


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Background or knowledge of chemistry within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent problem solving and continuous improvement toolkit, encompassing Six Sigma, Ishikawa, 5 Why's, Kaizen etc
  • Analytic approach and able to present clearly in an engaging manner
