Aircraft Certification Engineer

Our client, a large government customer, are seeking an Aircraft Certification Engineer to join their team. The role is based in Bristol. The role requires SC clearance and candidates must be sole UK nationals.

Requirements are scheduled to run until 30/06/2023 and offer a rate up to £420/day

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

Brief Team Description

The Aircraft Certification Engineer is responsible for both the Type Airworthiness and the Service Delivery of the new aircraft fleet. The Engineering Team comprises 10 Engineering/Safety positions, split across two sites, responsible for the delivery of the Certification and initial Release to Service Recommendation (RTSR) for the aircraft in the first instance, and further continued Type Airworthiness of the fleet beyond that. The role will be responsible for supporting the Certification Lead in progressing certification of the aircraft (MACP).

Key Deliverables

• Scoping of an appropriate certification basis of the aircraft and modifications.
• Review of the aircraft certification artefacts and evidence.
• Engagement with Project Manager and Aviation Authority.

Essential Experience/Skills Requirement

• Aircraft certification experience essential.
• ASEMS.
• GEAR.

Desired Experience/Skills Requirement

• Aircraft Engineering Authority Experience.
• Previous Letter of Airworthiness Authority (LOAA) Holder.

Other Information

• Routine travel to Ruislip will likely be required.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
