Introduction
We are assisting our client a large UK defence company who is looking to recruit a Senior Systems Engineer with MILSATCOM's experience. You will be part of the Mission systems team responsible for supporting the MILSATCOM Service Delivery organisation to deliver a range of new and modified subsystems, end to end services covering a range of Military and Commercial technologies and software.

Please not that you will need to either hold or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (DV) for this position. Please only apply if suitable.

Roles & Responsibilities
As the Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Design and deliver End to End telecoms solutions within the MILSATCON domain
  • Innovate using industry leading products and 3rd party services over LEO, MEO and GEO
  • Provide expert knowledsge on technology and operations, including satellite modems, Network Management Systems and IP Networking
  • Responsible for full Engineering lifecycle from requirements, design, production, test, integration and Assurance
  • Be part of multi-discipline project team
  • Proactive in your approach, you'll have excellent leadership skills combined with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment with new and exciting challenges each day.

Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Proven experience in the design, implementation and delivery of communications systems
  • In-depth knowledge of Systems Engineering processes on large and/or complex engineering projects
  • Demonstratable experience in the defence or telecommunication industry, ideally MILSATCOM or COMSAT but not essential.
  • Demonstratable experience of project delivery following engineering process from requirement to in service
  • Collaborative individual.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to champion high performance and inspire others.
  • University degree or equivalent experience communications in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related discipline
  • Must be a sole UK National and willing to undergo security clearance
