Clyde
The Project Coordinator is based within our Clyde business area.

As the Ministry of Defence's commercial partner at HMNB Clyde, Babcock provides specialist engineering support services, including the management of infrastructure and nuclear facilities. We also deliver operational maintenance, upgrades and repairs to support Royal Navy vessels, including the Vanguard and Astute-Class nuclear submarines.

The role

The difference our new Project Coordinator will make
As Project Coordinator you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a career in Planning as we will provide full training and support for those looking for a new challenge. You will support the Planners to develop and manage the project schedule under throughout the project lifecycle to assist delivery of the UK Submarine maintenance projects within the required safety standards, time, cost, and quality targets.

Day to day, you will provide project scheduling support to ensure schedules are developed and maintained within Babcock's Project Management & Planning policies. Standards will be met with quality schedules that satisfy the requirements of the business and the needs of the customer.

Essential experience:
• Ideally you will be experienced in Project Coordination in a similar role however full training a support will be provided for those who demonstrate they have the key skills and attitude required for this type of position. This is an excellent opportunity to develop long term into a Planner position.
• You'll need to demonstrate a high level of organisational skills with an ability to adapt to dynamic situations and produce information and reports with minimal guidance.
• Awareness or a desire to learn APM philosophy and project lifecycles
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills
• A desire to learn Microsoft Project and Primavera v.19
• Attention to detail in completing tasks and excellent communication skills are required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential attributes for this post, as is the ability to interact confidently and effectively with management and both Babcock and MoD stakeholders.
• You must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role
