The Finance Analyst role is based within our Mission Systems business area.

The role

The difference our new Finance Analyst will make

As a Finance Analyst you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. As an international defence company, we support and enhance our customers' defence and security capabilities and critical assets, meeting their requirements of value for money, increased availability, modernisation and flexibility.

Day to day you will be collaborating with central finance team members, finance business partners and the wider Group. You'll be engaging effectively with the business you support, providing meaningful and accurate information to the Heads of Finance, Finance Manager and to the business to aid understanding of the underlying issues and ultimately to drive financial performance, enabling better decisions to be made. Improving efficiency; continuously improving processes, reporting and modelling by challenging the status quo. You will become the backbone of support to the business as it progresses through a period of transformation, so you'll be required to learn quickly, be hands on and deliver quality work.

Essential experience

• We're looking for a dynamic, innovative, team-player eager to make a difference. Engaging with a variety of stakeholders you will build relationships and take responsibility for efficiently delivering quality work while seeking to continuously improve processes, reporting and modelling.
• Degree qualified with a professional finance qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Has strong excel skills in both reporting and modelling; specifically utilising features which are efficient without sacrificing simplicity or elegance where possible. We are not looking for over-engineering or a 'black-box' approach.
• Has experience or background of operating in an engineering or consultancy environment
