Data, Analytics and Tooling Lead

​Our client, a large government customer, are seeking a Data, Analytics and Tooling Lead to join their team. The role is based in Bristol and Corsham with some working from home and travel to other sites. The role requires SC Clearance and candidates must be sole UK nationals.

Requirements are scheduled to run until 31/03/2023 and offer a rate up to £525/day

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

Overview of the Role

There is a requirement to recruit a data analyst who can help transform how it manages cyber risk at the enterprise level. You will help to develop meaningful measurements of cybersecurity risk at a departmental level and assist the BAU metrics team with importing metrics data into central risk management tooling. You will also work with the business analyst to develop Risk Indicators (RIs) and document data requirements / gaps.

Main Responsibilities

•       To conduct investigation activities to identify viable datasets to help measure cyber risk and document them appropriately.
•       To clean new datasets and prepare them for import to risk tooling.
•       To develop meaningful visualisations and analysis products to support assessment of strategic cyber risk.
•       To work with cyber risk tooling (STREAM) and support staff to transfer the existing risk assessment methodology from excel to STREAM.

Essential Skills and Experience

•       Experience with integrating datasets and data import techniques.
•       Experience with data visualisation techniques and software (including PowerBI).
•       IT literacy and confidence to adapt to new software.
•       SC clearance.

Desirable Skills and Experience

•       Cybersecurity, governance or risk management experience.
•       DV Clearance.
•       Experience with STREAM software or similar risk management software.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
