Sopra Steria’s Aerospace and defense sector is currently recruiting for a EUS3 Infrastructure Engineer.

Working as part of the existing 3rd Line End User Services team, you will carry out the duties of a 3rd Line Engineer at a junior level for end user services. You will provide support to the Line Management within the technical areas of responsibility and provide a supporting role to the team of EUS 3 engineers.

What you'll be doing:

• Utilising approved and documented procedures fulfil the following activities in support of the 3rd Line EUS team:
• Distribute software components to the Enterprise using Microsoft SCCM.
• Endpoint device management, knowledge of Ivanti (formerly Lumension)
• Administration of support queues – Incident and workload management
• Support the VDI environment (Horizon View)
• Progress incidents and problems to their conclusion
• Develop a good working knowledge of Group Policy and AGPM
• Develop a working knowledge of VDI technologies to support the client estate
• Learn to effectively troubleshoot applications
• Assist with support of the corporate environment whilst maintaining its integrity
• Support the creation, reviewing and maintenance of processes and procedures
• Proactively recommend improvements and innovations (CSI&I) that provide efficiency improvements into the environment 
• Work within business and security frameworks (ITIL, JSP, IMM)
• Participate in projects focusing on service issues
• Escalate issues to line management as required

What you’ll bring:

• DV Cleared or eligible.
• SCCM Administration – basic understanding of Software distribution, OS deployment and monthly Patches
• Good understanding of Windows 7 / 10
• Knowledge of Group policy and AGPM
• Knowledge and basic experience of VMWare products and virtualisation technologies (Horizon View, VSphere)
• Understanding of RCA within a complex environment
• Able to effectively troubleshoot applications
• Prioritising work elements and impact analysis
• Customer focused
• ITIL Awareness
• Integrity

It would be great if you had:

• Knowledge of application whitelisting (ideally Applocker)
• Understanding of Application virtualisation – APP-V
• Endpoint device control
• ITIL Foundation
• Knowledge of Software Testing using Sysinternals Tools, including Procmon
