We are looking for a hardworking Oracle IT Technical Change Delivery Lead to own and lead a small to medium, delivery operation with medium/high levels of risk ensuring they conform to the customers’ and Sopra Steria’s time, cost, quality, revenue specifications and serve their wider business objectives. Typically these services with be using multiple delivery channels.

Individuals have a direct influence on profitability either as managers or as guides in a particular field. The field can relate to a variety of areas such as knowledge of a particular industry, technology, product, profession or skills area such as sales, account management or purchasing. Individuals could be contributors with specialist expertise or responsibility for the management of others. Roles at this level will typically be responsible for the provision of advice on policy implementation through such activities as scenario planning or resource modelling to advise strategic choices in decision making. The consequences of decision making would be operationally focused within a strategic framework.

This is a hybrid role where you will be working from the Gosport office 2 days per week.

What you'll be doing:

  • The Delivery Manager will have specific services and projects responsibilities at any time in their role. This may be with an individual client or across clients.
  • Understand business drivers and nuances of portfolio of services as they relate to relevant sector, customers and key offers/services.
  • Actively participates in bids to demonstrate delivery capability to clients including promoting Sopra Steria business process and IT outsourcing services with clients and developing relationships that are transferable into sales opportunities.
  • Ensure all projects/services are appropriately constructed and delivered in the timeframe encouraged by the customer and commercial team.
  • Management of commercial elements of the business operation, (internal costs, external suppliers) working with; Sales, Bid and Technical teams to identify and drive the best commercial delivery, and with the finance community and commercial manager to build the finances within agreed tolerances, ensuring all parties are fully aware of costs (actual & forecast) including potential over and under spends. Ensure all parties have considered in depth the most efficient and cost appropriate delivery has been supplied.
  • Ensure all collaborators are committed to the business operation and have complete awareness of the critical path to be followed, including the status of the projects/services and programmes against agreed success / issue criteria.
  • Identify and handle risks to the success of the client project, with a focus on cost efficiency and resolution of issues aligning to SSCL’s published Risk Management methods.
  • As part of this team, you will work with our incredible category teams, working on the implementation of new frameworks, administration surrounding the existing frameworks and client engagement. Looking after the operational side of business, you will maintain quality standards and be responsible for providing administrative support within our procurement function.

What you’ll bring:

  • Oracle e-Business Suite 12 experience with OAF and ADF Framework skills
  • Proven practice experience across a broad breadth of the Service Line practice solution / offer portfolio or external equivalent.
  • Confident and effective client and supplier relationship skills
  • Strong pre-sales and consultancy skills with direct experience in the relevant practice domain
  • Demonstrably applies Project Management knowledge, techniques and skills to optimally deliver work packages/projects
  • High level technical knowledge with application architecture experience
  • Working in a coordinated delivery environment incorporating offshore India
  • Good track record managing budgets
  • Experience of SLA reporting and Key Performance Indicators

It would also be great if you had:

  • Experience of working with the partner at a senior level (where applicable)
  • Proven experience in procurement, commissioning, bid writing or contract management team within Public Sector.
  • Recognized industry qualification, ITIL / Prince2 or both
  • Experience in contract management
  • Membership of a recognized professional IT body
