Role and responsibilities

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence are seeking a Configuration and Data Manager to join our Space Systems Business area.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Define, implement and maintain configuration and data management processes/standards for documents, software, hardware and capability to meet stakeholder requirements.
• Manage, produce and deliver data packs, both internally and externally.
• Lead the management, configuration and administration of CADM software and related tools.
• Administration of the project requirements (VCD)
• Advise and promote CADM best practices within mission project teams. Advise on appropriate CADM software and related tools, escalate limitations and challenges.
• Liaise with Project Management, Systems Engineering, Product Assurance Management and other relevant personnel; participate in appropriate reviews and assess CADM compliance within projects.
• Seek technical review and final sign off for outputs generated.
• Expert advice and guidance regarding day to day CADM processes.
• Ensure CADM processes in place within the supply chain are appropriate for the mission.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Configuration and Data Management.
• CADM principles including change control and configuration status.
• CADM Software and tooling including Document Management Systems and Software Configuration Management.

• Accountability for definition and implementation of CADM for a complex deliverable project.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Understanding of ESA ECSS or other relevant industry/Space Agency standards for Configuration and Data Management.
