We are responsible for engaging the public and the media on a wide variety of policing operations, from serious and violent crime to neighbourhood policing, producing news and appeals on all types of crime, working with the best documentary makers in the country and enhancing public confidence by developing engaging communications for diverse communities across our 10 districts.

We engage with the public and delivering two-way conversations, we work to build public, staff and stakeholder trust and confidence by making sure people are informed and involved.

The Role

We are recruiting to the post of Campaign and Stakeholder Communications Manager to manage the delivery of engaging, targeted and evidence driven external communication campaigns which support prevention activity and deliver behavioural change.

This role involves listening to, understanding and acting on the needs and expectations of the public and developing insights that inform communications to external audiences. The post-holder will lead on public affairs and stakeholder engagement activity for GMP.

The post-holder will manage the Campaign and Stakeholder Communications Team including the Greater Manchester Police Museum & Archive Team.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of managing staff, engaging with stakeholders and planning and delivering a programme of campaigns and external communications.
