Salary: From £29,000 to 33,000 dependent on experience

About

You will be working for Serco in a strategic partnership with Peterborough City Council in the heart of the city, to transform the quality of local services for our citizens. We currently have an opportunity to join our team as a Business Support Team Manager.

Reporting into the Business Support Account Manager you will manage and lead a business support team providing high quality and comprehensive business support services for Peterborough City Council across a variety of service areas. You will be the first point of contact for your clients to ensure effective service delivery and early resolution of any issues.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Management of a large team including performance, motivation, absence, training, recruitment, disciplinary/capability and grievance. There will be a combination of remote and office based working.
  2. Building and developing effective working relationships with the client, any third parties and with Serco services and providing first line contact with client on day to day work related issues, providing effective resolution
  3. Delivering excellent service to the client by effectively managing the workload of the team using relevant tools and systems.
  4. Providing performance management data to account managers and effectively managing the performance of the team.

  • Experience of managing and leading teams
  • Experience of managing multiple clients
  • The ability to prioritise, organise and manage workloads
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to motivate and develop others enabling all to achieve their potential
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Understanding of GDPR
