Project Engineer

​Our client, a large government customer, are seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. The role is based in Bristol. The role requires SC clearance and candidates must be a sole UK national.

Requirements are scheduled to run for 220 days and offer a rate up to £420/day

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

The Role

The running of a succession of projects supporting operations; both support and equipment acquisition projects. This post is for a project engineer, with either systems integration or mechanical bias who should have a good knowledge of maritime engineering processes. The individual will primarily support the L3 Project Engineer but also assist the other members of the project team as well as the Operations team as required.

Key Responsibilities

•       Provide practical support to the Survey Operations Teams at the Repair and Maintenance Facility.
•       Support the Cyber Assurance and Security Engineer as required.
•       Creation and review of GEAR documentation and ownership of the following GEAR Artefacts: Software Management Plan & Disposal Plan.
•       Support the L3 Engineer in creation of Planned Maintenance System.
•       Manage System Installation Review Actions.
•       Secretary to the Survey Engineering Group.
•       Support Safety and Environmental Manager in facilitation of Survey project safety and environmental committee.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
