We are a specialist Data Engineering, Cloud and Analytics consultancy focused on supporting our clients in successfully delivering on their digital transformation programmes. Our aim is to ensure we deliver value from our client’s data using innovative approaches that improve their data capabilities, analytics and data governance.

With demand for our services from our clients at an all-time high and continuous growth and success within our market sector, we are embarking on a major recruitment drive and keen to recruit key talent to join our project delivery team.

 

The Role

We work for high-profile clients, adding value and promoting best practice, high quality data and forward-looking Data Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work with clients to understand their need/wants and develop appropriate data governance solutions;
  • You will gather and review requirements for the deployment of a Data Governance Strategy;
  • You will define Approach / Strategy / Sequencing of Data Governance deliverables (including timeline of events) and lead its implementation, building roadmaps and effective plans.
  • You will consult, work collaboratively with and influence stakeholders to ensure data-related requirements for accessing, storing and using data are clearly defined, communicated, understood and applied;
  • You will take ownership of the resolution of data issues and optimizing remediation and change activity;
  • You will build and maintain a robust data governance framework of policies, standards, principles, metrics and processes to improve data quality and integrity by modifying organisational behaviours, pro-actively working and building a data community and rapport;
  • You will deal effectively and confidentially with data governance issues as appropriate with the ability to advise on data subject rights, requests for information, privacy complaints and enquiries and privacy notices;
  • You will act as the subject matter expert on privacy laws and regulations;
  • You will ensure accountability for core data assets through clear definition of roles and responsibilities, data owners to fulfil their responsibilities.

Essential:

  • Candidates must be resident in the UK and legally able to work without a VISA
  • Candidates must be SC Cleared - please do not apply if your SC has expired or is not active

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience working on Data Governance projects being the data catalog specialist
  • Experience of consulting with clients on data governance
  • Experience of running gap analysis, industry assessments e.g., DCAM
  • Experience of using tools on the market e.g., Informatica, EDC, Axon, Collibra, Alation
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Experience of building user persona-based use cases in data governance scenarios
  • Prior experience of implementing a data governance tool within a large organisation e.g. Alation, Collibra
  • Understanding of privacy laws and regulations incl. GDPR, PECR, ePrivacy
  • MS Office skills, PowerPoint and project planning visuals
  • Data protection practitioner certification
  • Understanding of manufacturing is preferable
  • Experience of working within large, complex and geographically dispersed programmes
