Summary

The Maintenance Technician will repair and maintain assigned manufacturing related equipment throughout the facility following standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Perform a wide variety of skilled tasks across multiple functions and operations of the preventive maintenance system.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance service and repair on assigned equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, replace and maintain existing mechanical systems and associated equipment including air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, etc.
  • Facilitate and accurately follow specific detailed operational instructions and prints for jobs and setup operations.
  • Administer the preventive maintenance system and provides required reports.
  • Determine preventative maintenance required for new equipment, and educate equipment operators to perform routine maintenance.
  • Maintain a safe and effective work area/environment and use appropriate personal protective and safety equipment.
  • Support the Facilities' Function as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
    Vocational training, apprenticeships or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical components and equipment.
  • Familiar with reading and interpreting documents, schematics and blueprints.
  • Able to recognise and solve typical problems from established operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
  • Experience in operating forklifts and other powered equipment.
  • Able to work within a team environment and adapt to changes in work requirements.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
