Aircraft Mechanic - Outside IR35 - Gatwick

One of our clients are looking for an experienced Aircraft Engineer to join them on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

o Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, repairs and functional tests on Airframe and Engine systems under the supervisor of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
o Complete all assigned work in a timely manner to optimise aircraft downtime.
o Ensure aircraft technical log book, maintenance documentation, work packages and zonal handovers are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales in conjunction with the Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
o Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
o Maintain a high standard of husbandry and cleanliness within assigned work areas.
o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures.
o Report all incidents and occurrences in the Safety Management System.
o Undertake any reasonable activities as required, including working away from London Gatwick.

Required Qualifications

o Have completed a recognised apprenticeship, formal training program or able to demonstrate comparable qualifications and experience.
o Have experience working in a Line or Base Maintenance environment.
o Be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.
o Flexible worker who is prepared to adjust working hours to meet operational demands.
o Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems.
o Meet the requirements to hold a London Gatwick Airport airside pass.
o Candidates must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
