The branch delivers a comprehensive menu of training options and prides itself on the quality of service it provides, continually looking to improve and innovate.

Recognised as a centre of excellence, GMP trainers regularly train officers and staff from police forces across the country and overseas.

You will be responsible for the creation, amendment and delivery of a variety of Computer training courses including Custody & identification, Local Computer Systems, Police National Computer, ViSOR and Public Protection and Airwave Radio. The training will include policy and procedure, data protection and IT security associated with using GMP Systems.

An excellent communicator at all levels, you must be able to deliver training in a classroom environment, assess performance and provide effective and constructive feedback. You will be capable of planning and administrating training courses and documenting the progress of delegates.

You will be an experienced user of GMP and national computer systems and Airwave Radio in the operational environment. A strong team player able to liaise with colleagues over training delivery and identifying opportunities for enhancing training methods, whilst maintaining the confidence to work independently where necessary.
