The Bank of England and Inspire People are partnering together to attract high-calibre Senior Data Quality Analysts with experience in interrogating data using Python or R, responsible for defining and developing best-practice data quality controls. Circa £50k to £55k basic plus discretionary performance bonus, 8.5% cash benefits allowance and excellent benefits including non-contributory flexible pension. Hybrid working, 40% London based.
The Bank is making significant enhancements to the way it collects and uses data. You will be involved in meaningful, high-profile work. The Bank's data and analytical (D&A) outputs ultimately result in decisions of national importance. The Governor has made D&A enablement a key strategic priority!
The applicant must be able to demonstrate experience of communicating findings with stakeholders across a range of business areas.
As a Senior Data Quality Analyst, typical role responsibilities include:
* Define and self-develop best-practice data quality controls via the direct querying of data.
* Surfacing data quality measurements through visualisations (e.g. in Tableau) to monitor data, report on it, and inform others before they use it.
* Own and maintain the Bank's written 'Data Quality Framework' and Data Quality training materials, ensuring they are readable for consumable.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proficient in interrogating data via R (preferable) or Python.
* Experience of Tableau for visualisations and dash-boarding.
* Able to articulate and promote Data Quality so the business understands why it's important and the benefits it brings.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience of querying Big Data environments, ideally HDFS (Hadoop) or cloud-based lakes or marts.
* Intermediate-Advanced SQL and MS Excel
* SC (Security Clearance)
