BUILDING SERVICES MANAGER - MANCHESTER (12 MONTH CONTRACT)

Blueprint Recruitment are working with a fantastic principal contractor who are on the lookout for a Building Services Manager to join them on a 12 month contract basis working outside IR35.

Our client has been specialising in the restoration of historic buildings across Manchester, Cheshire, Birmingham and Leeds for the last 25 years and are an expert in the field.

Please note - this is a site based role that requires daily travel into Manchester therefore a method of transport is required.

Job duties:

• Overseeing MEP installations of the MEP Trade Contractor
• Programme reporting against the MEP Trade Contractor progress
• Progress reporting/meeting chairing with the MEP Trade Contractor
• Ensuring design compliance of all MEP Trade Contractor works
• Managing the testing and commissioning of the MEP Trade Contractor installations
• Overseeing and QA of all O&M documents following completion of the MEP Trade Contractor works
• Guiding the client on any value engineering opportunities
• Advising the client of any early product order placements that should be made
• Assisting with other Trade Contract packages where necessary (lift installation trade contract and new façade trade contract)
• Advising on monthly valuation approvals
• Ensuring that the Trade Contractor workforce follows H&S procedures

Candidate requirements:

• Previous experience managing MEP contract packages
• Previous experience within Building Services in a similar role
• A strong understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical installations
• Previous experience working on food and beverage use in Hotel/office installations is beneficial but not compulsory
