SC Cleared Service Take-On Analyst - Inside IR35
Contract Term: 6 Months with potential for extension
Contracting Authority: The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office
Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week in either London or Milton Keynes


The IT Service Take-On function enables beneficial changes to be made with minimum disruption to the Information and Digital Directorate (IDD) services, ensuring the effective and smooth transition of IDD services and processes to maintain business as usual operations (BAU). The function will provide overall planning for service transitions and coordinate the resources that are required, controlling the lifecycle of all change.
The Service Take-On Analyst is a role in the Service Take-On team within the IT Service Management department of IDD, reporting into the Service Take-On Manager. 
The Service Take-On Analyst tests the products and is accountable for application acceptance and checking whether security criteria have been met, flagging any potential risks to the service transition manager.


As a Service Take-On Analyst your main responsibilities would be: 
•    Helping to assess service readiness against service transition acceptance criteria at the start of the project to ensure successful cutover to live.
•    Working with Product Teams to complete quality and security assurance activities, escalating to the Senior Service Take-On Manager if errors are identified.
•    Supporting Product Teams to complete out transition readiness assessments prior to go live and signs off for implementation.
•    Validate changes against the transition framework and appropriate policies and procedures. 
•    Proactively focusing on continuous improvement of self and service, working with others to improve the user experience, simplify processes and improve efficiency of IT Services to enable the Government’s diplomatic, development and consular work around the world.

You’ll have relevant experience in:

•    Service Management Framework knowledge.
•    Service Focus.
•    Problem Management. 
•    Continual Service Improvement. 
•    Continuity Management.
•    ITIL Foundation is a desirable qualification for this role.
•    An active SC Clearance is essential for this role.
