Lead Project Controls Engineer

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to secure an initial 6 month contract as a Lead Project Controls Engineer at our Bridgwater location with partial remote working available for this role.

What will you be doing?

Working in one of the Programme Controls Teams within the HPC Project, under the direction and leadership of the IPC Project Controls Manager (PCM), to help lead the development, implementation, use and maintenance of Integrated Project Controls processes within the Programme or a subdivision thereof (henceforth "Programme"). 

??     Support the PCM in the implementation and maintenance of Integrated Project Controls processes for all Disciplines within the Programme, including the production of monthly reports, through the provision of intelligent information and analysis;

??     Collaborate with other Disciplines of Integrated Project Controls, as well as other Project Support Functions, to help deliver Project goals in keeping with the HPC principles of Trust, Transparency and Teamwork;

??     Maintain an awareness of interfaces with other Programmes and their potential impact.

What are we looking for?

??           Leadership capability;

??           Detailed knowledge of Project Controls disciplines, in particular Cost, Risk and Scheduling;

??           Detailed understanding of Project Controls methodologies, techniques and processes for programme and project management in a major infrastructure environment;

??           Ability to understand and use Project Controls management software at an advanced level;

??           Ability to understand and interpret complex Project Controls data;

??           Ability to create concise narrative to support project reporting

??           Understanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC;

??           Good commercial awareness;

??           Minimum of a degree in Engineering, Construction or other related field, or HND or equivalent qualification with recognised experience commensurate with a degree;

Professionally qualified with chartered or equivalent status
