As part of the Information Management & IT function, your impact will be felt across the organisation, helping to embed new technology and tools, automate processes and improve data management. We'll support you to innovate, as you bring positive change and fresh ideas to the team.

 

We are currently recruiting for Information Managers to join our teams. The successful candidates will support delivery of the Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) strategy, policy and governance by providing advice to colleagues on strategic issues.  They will liaise with stakeholders on complex KIM issues.

 

When in office, you’ll work onsite at Abbey Wood, interacting regularly with varied stakeholders in a complex, fast-moving environment. There may also be need for travel to different sites depending on the needs of the project. About the role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

 

  •    Ensure information is being captured, stored, distributed, used, processed, retained and eventually disposed of, to meet the requirements of the law, MOD policy and guidance.    Delivery of KIM projects to meet the needs of the business, considering relevant service agreements or standards. Provide advice and monitor where data is managed in accordance with regulatory acts and other relevant legislation. Identify information risks within the organisation, work with IT colleagues to mitigate information risk within solution designs. Develop the knowledge and capability of the organisation to enable and increase maturity of KIM skills. Identify new innovative approaches to performing KIM activities and delivery relevant change and improvements to enhance the customers experience and technical capability. Fulfil Primary Delivery Manager responsibilities for your direct reports

Please note, due to the nature of work, some posts are Reserved (open to UK Nationals and the successful candidate will need to attain DV (Developed Vetting) clearance once in post, other roles available are non-reserved and only require SC (security Clearance).

 

Person specification

 

To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:

  •    Experience and/or Relevant qualification in Knowledge and Information Management in a large organisation.

It would also be great if you can demonstrate any of the following desirable criteria:

 

  •    Working towards membership of relevant Professional body

In addition to the responsibilities above, the following technical competences and behaviours will be assessed at interview:
