Role Summary

The Quality Inspector inspects a range of components, parts and/or products for the area assigned as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance Instructions. Identifies moderately difficult quality issues in design, process or other inefficiencies to meet quality requirements. The ideal candidate will be expected to take charge of inspection of supplied parts from production and or supplier. A representative for inspection on behalf of Customers.

Core Responsibilities

  • Supplier inspection
  • Production inspection
  • Assisting the Quality department within audits, product release as well as the first article inspection
  • Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of the production process
  • Participates in analysis statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards
  • Performs visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
  • Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items
  • Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues
  • Performs routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling
  • Conducts Internal audits and corrective action follow ups
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Education : Education Level: GSCE or equivalent
Certifications : Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field. IPC 610 knowledge not a necessity
Years Experience : 3- 3-5 years of experience in Electrical / Mechanical Inspection
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
  • Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports
  • Ability to ensure a high level of service and quality is maintained
  • MRP knowledge
  • Mechanical and or Electrical Inspection
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Participates in preparing all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
